IAOM/Cowley College to Hold Informational Webinar for Fall Courses on May 13, 2 p.m. CST

IAOM and Cowley College will be offering two online programs this fall in their Milling Technician Program.

Starting Aug. 24, students will be able to choose between the original milling and mechatronics courses and a new milling-only courses.

Certificate A – Milling-Only
This new program will include only the five wheat flour milling courses plus an internship class (250 hours in a flour mill to provide for skills mastery application and demonstration.

It will span one year but does not include any of the mechatronics courses. It is designed for those individuals who already have the mechanical skills required for the milling environment and want to focus on just the milling course. It is a 17-credit-hour program.

Certificate B – Milling and Mechatronics
This existing program includes both the milling and mechatronics courses, along with the internship program. It is a 32-credit-hour program spanning one year.

The courses are taught by veteran milling experts and are delivered through an online learning management system. This means students never have to be on the Cowley College campus.
