Grain Millers, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has acquired the shares of Agricor, Inc., a dry corn milling company located in Marion, Indiana.

Agricor is a manufacturer of yellow corn grits, cornmeal and corn flour with a growing presence in the certified organic and non-GMO corn product markets.

Prior to Grain Millers’ acquisition, Agricor was owned by the Ewart family. “We are proud that Agricor will become a valued member of the Grain Millers’ family,” stated Ms. Claire L. Ewart.

Agricor will diversify and complement Grain Millers’ existing product lines while expanding Grain Millers’ geographic footprint and distribution capabilities further east.

Grain Millers has worked with Agricor since 1995 as part of a shared organic corn program.

Mr. Steve Eilertson, President of Grain Millers, stated that “Agricor will provide us with a platform to enhance our existing customer and supplier relationships, enable our physical capacity to grow across multiple business lines, and provide an entry point for Grain Millers into new markets and territories.”

Mr. Steve Wickes, the current President of Agricor, will continue as President following the change of ownership.

“I am so thankful to the Ewart family for everything they have done for Agricor and its employees.

"They have been wonderful owners. Going forward I am excited that a valued customer will be our new owner.
