Great Western Introduces New QA Tru-Balance Series of Gravity Fflow SiftersDate Posted: April 6, 2010 Leavenworth, KS—Great Western Manufacturing’s new line of gravity flow sifters, the QA Tru-Balance Series, will be introduced at PTXi, Chicago, IL, Booth #2506. Like all of Great Western’s sifters, the QA gravity flow series operates with a horizontal gyratory sifting motion that is recognized for its superior performance and precision separations. Horizontal gyratory motion retains material longer, has a slower and more gentle sieving action, and minimizes vertical agitation; thus keeping the fine material in contact with the screen longer and providing more accurate separations. Since the sifters use multiple stacked sieves, large amounts of sifting surface can be obtained while using a minimum of floor space. Multiple separations can be achieved with the amount of sieve area for each separation accurately allocated according to product requirements. Features include: all stainless steel contact surfaces; simple, sanitary sieve frame construction; snap-on food grade neoprene gaskets; elimination of all fasteners in the product zone; elimination of traditional backwire; reliable pneumatic sieve compression system; easy access for inspection, cleaning and maintenance; and wrap around guards for unsurpassed personnel safety. The QA Tru-Balance Gravity Flow Series builds on the proven reliability of the Tru-Balance drive platform and provides the latest innovations in sanitary sifters for precision grading, fines removal and product quality control sifting.
