Kice Industries Testing Shows Its Baghouse Filters Meet NFPA Compliance

Date Posted: May 14, 2009

Wichita, KS—Kice Industries has built and installed complete dust control packages for over 60 years.

Recent changes from NFPA have made it increasingly difficult to install, own and operate baghouse filters.

So, for the past two years, Kice engineers have put a priority on using Kice experience to research these new standards using extensive testing to develop a deep understanding of what it takes to comply including:

• New Installations, Analyzing Existing Installations, System Design, Process Flow Engineering, Plant Layout, Quality Equipment and Automation & Electrical Engineering.

Recent events have brought many changes and updates to the NFPA code which covers, among other things, requirements for explosion relief panels, isolation and suppression.

Kice engineers have always had an understanding of these guidelines, but given the recent attention to this topic, Kice engineers have spent the last few years reviewing our line of filters.

Kice has even gone so far as to test the pressure rating of our filters and our method of calculating this data.

How did they test this?

They literally tried to blow up a Kice filter.
