These comments were taken from a First Quarter MILLING JOURNAL interview with IAOM Executive Vice President Melinda Farris

There have been a couple of alterations to the schedule for IAOM’s 114th annual conference and expo in Las Vegas, April 19-23, 2010.

We’ve moved the Product Showcase to a time slot between the afternoon educational sessions on the first day.

Probably the biggest change is that we’ve moved the technical sessions to the morning on Thursday (April 22).

The Speaker’s Corner will be held right after lunch, in order to capture a larger crowd.

This year’s topic is of particular importance to the industry.

Ricardo Carvajal from Hyman, Phelps & McNamara, PC, will speak about the Food and Drug Adminstration’s direction and management responsibilities in food safety.

This is a session that each and every miller should attend.

In addition, IAOM’s board of directors has invited two associate members (non-voting rights) to participate at the board meeting on April 19.
