Mennel Milling, Fostoria, OH, in late August announced it had completed the first phase of a renovation project at its West Point, VA grain terminal.

“The upgraded grain elevator now features a new tower with bridges, expanded grain receiving pits with a truck hoist, an outbound scale, as well as updated electrical and automation systems,” the company said in a statement.

Phase 2

The next phase of the project will feature a grain dryer, tower, wet and dry leg, additional conveyors, and provide access to an existing storage tank. The company expects to begin construction in 2025, with an expected completion date of June 1, 2026.

“The renovation helps to ensure safety, create a cleaner look and atmosphere, streamlines processes and provide a much-needed efficiency,” said West Point Operations Manager Lance Falk, who also is serving as project manager.
