Authorities are investigating a weekend fire at the historic Healings Mill site in Tewkesbury, England, which has been classified as a suspected case of arson.

Emergency crews responded to the former flour mill on Quay Street shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 4. Three fire engines from Cheltenham East, Cheltenham West, and Gloucester North stations arrived to find a small quantity of building materials burning within the derelict structure. Firefighters quickly brought the situation under control, with the incident declared over by 4:16 p.m.

According to Gloucestershire Police, the fire is being treated as deliberate. Officers are asking anyone with information to contact the department through its website and reference incident 308 of October 4.

Healings Mill, once home to Borough Flour Mill operations, ceased production in 2006. Since then, the property has remained vacant and has deteriorated into disrepair. The site, a well-known landmark along the River Avon, has been the focus of redevelopment discussions in recent years but remains unused.

Investigators continue to look into the cause of the blaze as part of the ongoing arson inquiry.
