Caribbean Organic Foodstuff Co. Ltd.’s flour mill opened on November 26 in Orange Walk, Belize. The mill was designed earlier this year, and took 10 months to construct, and is expected to produce 150 tons of flour per day. The facility can adjust the protein and nutrients in the flour at the customer's request.

The flour has already entered retail stores, featuring both an all-purpose flour and enriched baker's flour. The company is also known for producing ramen noodles, and its operation of a brewery producing Mine Beer. The mill currently has 130 employees, and is expected to hire more employees as demand and production grow.

The Prime Minister of Belize, Hon. John Briceño, remarked that the factory could eventually serve the entire Caribbean market, and expressed that the government will work to support the company in expanding its product beyond Belize.
