Wheat Industry Leaders Anticipate Low Impact From Coronavirus

Washington Grain Commission CEO Glen Squires says Coronavirus outbreak is not likely to significantly impact Pacific Northwest wheat farmers and operations, aside from meeting cancellations.

“Producers are in some ways out, isolated, kind of naturally,” said Squires.

Steve Mercer of U.S. Wheat Associates does not anticipate trading restrictions to be placed on wheat either.
