Great Western Manufacturing, which was founded in 1858, creates sifters, sieves, parts, and accessories. The company recently introduced the Summit sieve, which was designed to combine strength, simplicity, and superior sifting with a larger net screen area per stack than previous sieves.

According to Jeff Seeger, sales, “The Summit sieve has a new design that features a minimal number of fasteners that are strategically positioned to eliminate risk of contamination. Removal of the gaskets results in interlocking trays while retaining stability and preventing leaks.”

Larger Screen Area

“The Summit sieve has a larger screen area, a more sanitary design, and a lower weight. The result is a stronger, simpler, and superior sieve compared to competitors,” explains Seeger. “It also has no gasket or O-rings, eliminating the possibility of leakage between the sieve frames and the screen tray inserts.”

Features

  • Seal design uses a combination of three different techniques to seal without gaskets over the life of the sieve.
  • Full-width tray, interlocking design, and beveled edges.
  • Food-grade plastic and stainless steel pan for long life.
  • Minimal fasteners strategically positioned away from product zone.
