Why I Believe in IAOM ... Aaron Black, Wilkins Rogers, Inc.

IAOM Member Since 1994

“I became a member of IAOM in college, actually. I was a junior active member while at Kansas State University in 1994.

I joined the association because, at that time, I saw it as an opportunity to meet people who were working in the industry. The networking opportunities certainly attracted me. I thought I could get some value as a student who would go to the meetings and meet my peers. These guys are actually working in the milling industry, so it was a great opportunity to meet them and learn from them. I also learned a great deal from the educational sessions they offered in our district.

“Looking back at my time with IAOM, I started in college and became an active member when I graduated in ’96. I’ve been through all the district leadership positions and international leadership positions all the way up to president of the association. So, I’ve witnessed and enjoyed a lot of great value the association provides to its members. The educational component, the sharing of knowledge among the industry, and the fellowship of interacting with fellow operative millers have been the most valuable things I’ve received from my affiliation with IAOM. I would recommend membership with IAOM without a doubt.”
