Syed Jonaid Sajid Receives IMEF Scholarship Program for Professionals.

Syed Jonaid Sajid was selected as the recipient of the International Milling Education Foundation (IMEF) Scholarship Program for Professionals.

The scholarship will provide tuition for Jonaid to enroll in the IAOM-KSU Flour & Dough Analysis course, which is scheduled for Aug. 10-12 at Kansas State University, Manhattan.

Jonaid joined Atyab Foodtech (Oman Flour Mills) as a lab technologist in 2012.

He has since been promoted to the position of quality head for flour and feed.

Jonaid says he is hoping to learn more in analysis from university and industry experts.

He also sees it as an opportunity for networking, in order to develop new products.

The IMEF Scholarship program was established in 2008 to support the education of undergraduates in the sciences of grain milling.

In 2012, the program was expanded to include training opportunities for professionals already working in the industry.
