USDA Weekly Crop Progress Report (9/19): Soybeans 3% Harvested, While Corn Harvest at 7%

According to today's Crop Progress Report by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA):

CORN

• Crop condition: 52% of corn was rated in good-to-excellent condition, down 1% from 53% the previous week and 7 % below last year's rating of 59%.

SOYBEANS

• Soybeans condition: 55% of soybeans were rated in good-to-excellent condition, down 1 % from 56% the previous week and 3 % below last year's rating of 58%.

SOYBEANS

• Sorghum condition: 19% of sorghum were rated good, steady from the previous week, but down from 46% the year before.

SPRING WHEAT

• Harvest progress: Spring wheat harvest is up 9% last week to 94% complete as of Sunday, matching the five-year average.
