NAMA Promotes Kim Cooper to Vice President, Government Affairs

The North American Millers' Association (NAMA) executive committee announced the promotion of Kim Cooper to vice president, government affairs during NAMA's 2024 Spring Conference on March 10.

Kim joined NAMA as manager, government affairs in 2019 and was most recently senior director, government affairs. Her new title reflects her accomplishments in setting and implementing the organization’s public policy goals. Her focus will continue to be leading NAMA’s strategy for engagement on Capitol Hill.

NAMA president Jane DeMarchi said, “Cooper has played a major role in helping NAMA and its members meet their goals through congressional action. She has been pivotal in advocating for needed changes to U.S international food aid programs during this farm bill cycle.”

Prior to NAMA, Cooper’s experience includes working in advocacy and government affairs on behalf of the National Head Start Association and Growth Energy and serving as a field organizer in Ohio for secretary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign. She is a graduate of The George Washington University.
