Des Moines, IA and Villa Carlos Paz, Argentina (April 24, 2024) — Bratney, which has locations in the USA and Argentina, and Grupo DAQ, with locations in Argentina and Brazil, have announced the formation of a strategic partnership and joint venture. With this partnership,
Bratney and DAQ have created a new, jointly owned company in the US to facilitate the sale of Bratney’s best-in-class processing, milling, and packaging equipment in Central and South America.
The companies will also share engineering and design resources as well as expertise on customer projects.
“By leveraging our combined knowledge and years of experience in seed, grain, milling, food, and other industries—together with the best-in-class equipment produced by Bratney’s European partners—the Bratney/DAQ joint venture is positioned to provide unmatched equipment solutions and project services to all our valued customers across South and Central America,” states DAQ President Gustavo Pittaro.
“DAQ has a longstanding reputation for excellent engineering and design,” states Peter Bratney, CEO of Bratney.
“However, a successful partnership also requires a common culture and a shared appreciation for the importance of exceptional service to customers above all else.
"That’s what has allowed Bratney to have such strong and long-lasting relationships with its proprietary equipment partners, including Cimbria, Concetti, Omas, Schule, and BoMill. In the same way, DAQ’s family business foundation makes it a great fit for how Bratney does business.
"I’m confident that the new Bratney/DAQ partnership will be the foundation for many years of continued growth and shared success.”
The companies signed their agreement on March 28, 2024, at DAQ’s HQ in Villa Carlos Paz, Argentina.
Leaders from both companies, including DAQ co-owner Jorge Ferreiro, and Jorge Garcia who oversees Bratney’s team in Argentina, attended the signing. Emilio Pittaro and Victoria Ferreiro, the son and daughters of DAQ’s owners, and who are involved in the business, were also present. Jorge Garcia and Bratney’s Argentina team will remain closely involved in the sales activities under this joint venture.
